Whisked Away for Dinner to Lake Austin Spa Resort

Lake Austin Spa Resort is opening its doors to non-resort and spa guests for a special event series called Aster After Dark. It’s a rotating list of events at the resort ranging from special guest chef dinners and creative container gardening to artists chats over wine and cheese.

It’s a special idea because the resort and spa are pretty private, allowing for a fully transformational experience for all guests who get to enjoy their property. Guests who participate in Aster After Dark will have an opportunity to explore the property and get a taste of what it would be like to truly experience all that Lake Austin Spa Resort. It’s located at the end of Steiner Ranch off of 620, but if you’re coming from Downtown they offer a water taxi with pickup from the 360 bridge boat ramp and Hula Hut. What a fun way to get to the Resort!

I was able to get a private tour, and it was so dreamy. From the moment you walk upon the property, you feel at peace like you’re transformed to another place in time. I was in awe of all the things to do on the property ranging from water sports to enjoying one of the three pools on the property, or maybe you want to just sit back on your porch overlooking the lake. No matter what you’re doing at Lake Austin Spa Resort, you’re doing it to relax, rejuvenate, and to truly enjoy the moment.

There are so many special things about Lake Austin Spa Resort, from the public garden that grows with over 50 different types of vegetables, fruits, and herbs. To the parlor rooms that are sprinkled throughout the property that are showcases of the owner’s love for vintage art and furniture. To the spectacular view that sits on the other side of the lake, which is a private bird sanctuary so it will always be undeveloped beautiful hill country views.

I was invited to attend a dinner with Top Chef favorite Tre Wilcox, where he prepared a 3-course Thai inspired meal paired with Fall Creek Vineyard wines. The dinner was absolutely spectacular, it was fresh and featured a lot of fresh herbs from the garden. It was the perfect way to wind down after having such a relaxing afternoon on the property.

The whole night was such a spectacular experience, you can tell that every single detail has been considered when putting together not only these events but the property itself. It truly is a respite away from the real world, the perfect place to unwind, and the perfect place to celebrate. I hope everyone gets to experience Lake Austin Spa Resort one day whether you visit for Aster After Dark, the Spa, or you book a retreat as a Resort guest.
