  • It’s been a hot second since I’ve been out to a new restaurant opening, let alone multiple events, including a late night concert 😱🙃 honestly, who am I?! But today was such a freakin blast! I’m thinking I should have more of these days in my future ✨ My sweet friend @adowgwillo and I started the night at @hotelsaintcecilia where @visitsanantonio hosted @chefjasondady and @bakery_lorraine two of San Antonio’s prominent restauranteurs who are opening shop in Austin! After we drank and ate our way through that event, it was a trip to the east side to visit the newest addition to the @ramentatsu_ya family, @domoalleygatotatsu_ya ! We met up with @andreimatei to get a sneak at this new spot. It features a dope vibe indoor outdoor bar and counter service restaurant serving foam beer ice and curries ✌🏼👌🏼👏🏼 greaaat for patio hands and late night 💯 and as if all of that wasn’t amazing enough, we ended up at the @do512 lounge for a little intimate concert where I ran into so many sweet familiar faces, which was just a nice reminder of how this city really is my home and how fortunate I am to get to live my life here ❣️ I just appreciate days where I get to reconnect and fall back in love with my city and today was exactly that ☺️☺️☺️

This lamb sausage wrapped in a pretzel bun and topped with shallots, fresh herbs, and a port cherry mustard is reason enough to make your way to the newest @easytigeratx at @thelincatx m! I’m just saying, that could be yours if you don’t play 🙅🏼‍♀️🤙🏼 I have a short attention span today, we had a busy morning at @restartcbd which turned into a busy afternoon and evening, so all I can come up with is me drooling over this photo and I figured you’d like to drool over it too 😝 You’re welcome, now bookmark it and go see Easy Tiger! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 PS: Team lamb or no? I grew up eating it but never cared for it one way or the other and lately (when prepared right) becomes craveable. This place does just that 👌🏼

  • Do I drink the same @juiceland smoothie every time? y/n 🙋🏼‍♀️-- Have you ever heard of decision fatigue? It's estimated that the average adult makes about 35,000 remotely conscious decisions each day. Researchers at Cornell University estimate we make 226.7 decisions each day on food alone. No wonder our powerful brains turn to turd sometimes, we exhaust them. And by doing so, we’re getting in the way of our own success. You might want to go to the gym and workout, but your brain would rather default to the easy decision: sit on the couch or hit the snooze button. That’s decision fatigue. The same thing is true if you find it hard to muster up the willpower to work on your side business at night or to cook a healthy meal for dinner. I definitely don’t have this all figured out, but there are little steps that I follow that help me mitigate decision fatigue. 1. Plan daily decisions the night before: like what you’re going to wear the next day, or have for breakfast. 2. Do the most important thing first: So ask yourself, what’s the most important thing? Is it getting in shape? Is it building your business? Is it writing that book you have inside of you? Is it learning to eliminate stress and relax?Whatever it is for you, put your best energy toward it. If you have to wake up 30 minutes earlier, then do that. Start your day by working on the most important thing in your life. 3. Stop making decisions. Start making commitments: Literally make a calendar and schedule the things that you want to do. Put your workout on the calendar. Schedule the time you want to get in some reading. Plan specific days you want to dedicate to your side hustle. You can’t sit back and hope you’ll make the right decisions. 4. If you have to make good decisions later in the day, then eat something first: When you want to get better decisions from your mind, put better food into your body. 5. Simplify: If something isn't important to you, eliminate it. Willpower is one area of life where you can most certainly improve your output by reducing the number of inputs ✌🏼 you can do anything you say you can!
  • Can’t recall a holiday season without a trip to @atxlights ✨🎄 Ever since I was a little girl I’ve been going to The Trail of Lights, so this is a tradition I like to uphold. Whether you’re new to town or you’ve been here for a while, the trail officially opens up tomorrow night, and you can get your festive fix through December 23! The trail is free to walk, but there are special events and activities going on the rest of the month so check their calendar out for more details 📅 I got the chance to preview the trail last night with some @titosvodka hot cider in hand, and let’s just say, boozy strolls are the best strolls! 🙅🏼‍♀️💯✌🏼Peep my stories for more fun like catching a ride on the ferris wheel for epic panoramic shots of the trail and city!   • Breakfast tacos a la ME 👩🏼‍🍳😁👋🏼 It’s practically the weekend, right 😅 I’m already dreaming about curling up in my bed, chilling out, and hiding out from this rain 🌧 I can’t believe we made it through another whole week, where is 2018 going?! So in honor of the weekend, and doing things, and working hard, and also taking time to relax, here is my breakfast from Monday as some weekend grocery store inspo 😇 Two @sietefoods cassava flour tortillas, filled with some @traderjoes jalapeño sausage, orange bell peppers, purple onions all scrambled into some eggs! Paired with a side of blistered tomatoes, and a drizzle of @yellowbirdsauce and you have the easiest, healthiest, paleo friendly breakfast! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 TBH breakfast is probably my favorite meal, and this is one of my favorites to whip up!   • 19 days left till Christmas, and 17 days left in the @athleticoutcomes holiday challenge! 💪🏼 I love my gym yall! I know I talk about it a lot, but it’s literally my home away from home. It’s the people, from the owners (sup @aonutrition and @pat3000training), to the trainers @katicane, @b0urgeois, @spinsyddy, @texas_monster, and Colin who is not on IG 😝 to my wonderful fit fam like @authenticallyamanda, @mau_sab, @mostlyfitleah, @megdub41, and @sammyhagy 👯‍♀️✨ I have a new outlook on life and fitness and it’s all because of the energy I get from being a part of a community of people working towards the same goal! To feel like the strongest version of myself, and to actually BECOME the strongest version of myself is a beautiful space to exist in. I feel strong not only physically but mentally too. And a lot of you are in disbelief sometimes at the time of day in which I enjoy working out (hello 5am wakeup call!) or how frequently I try to make it to the gym (hello 6x a week) but it’s a routine in which I have become very selfish defending because it’s one of the things that gives me the most joy in life. I’ve found amazing friends, challenged myself mentally and physically, and proven that when there is a will, there is a way. So as we approach a new year, I just want you to ask yourself what it is that you want to focus the new year intention on, and then make it fucking happen! Start with one day at a time, it sounds cheesy, but it’s true. When you start saying yes on a small scale, to daily challenges, you’ll be surprised at how far you’ll go and what you accomplish. This new years will mark my second year not adding “workout more” to my new years resolution. And I’m proud as hell at that. The only way to inspire change is to make moves, get uncomfortable and choose your life again every day you wake up! What’s your relationship with fitness?   • Two nights in a row I’ve been on Rainey. Last night was a special occasion because @bangersaustin just opened it’s most recent expansion marking Bangers as the largest draft system in Texas with over 207 taps. I don’t particularly care for beer, but I think that’s pretty cool 🍻 What I do partake in though is the launch of Bangers new smokehouse built to boot with a custom whole hog smoker! We got to enjoy meats from the new pit like pork ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, sausages of course, and I can affirmatively say it was all excellent! They have a few different sauce options but my personal favorite of the meal was the South Carolina sauce! The expansion boasts more event space, a second stage, private lounges and new patios. It’s a sight to see and will most definitely be the future home of more epic meals and adventures! So happy for their team in making Bangers a continued success for the Austin food and beverage scene! ✨ What’s your favorite thing about bangers? 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 Mine? Manmosas 🙋🏼‍♀️ but also now the BBQ 😍
