Staycation at ARRIVE East Austin

ARRIVE has made quite the name for themselves, a boutique hotel with 5 distinct locations ranging from Palm Springs and Memphis with their newest location popping up right in Austin’s diverse and every expanding East Side.

I checked in for a quick weekend staycation to experience the location and amenities, and can confidently say whether you’re looking to escape the city and indulge in your room all day, or you want to be in the heart of it all on the East Side, you can do that at Arrive East Austin.

This isn’t your typical hotel, they give guests a welcome drink upon arrival, a cooler filled with Austin favorites like Ranch Rider and Yes way Rosé are chilled just waiting for you to arrive. From there your room key reminds you of their 24/7 text concierge, whether you need an extra toothbrush, or need to make dining reservations, they have you taken care of. Which in todays socially connected world, a way to get great service right at the touch of your fingertips.

Once we made it to our room (4th floor out of 5 floors), we were pleasantly surprised by the minimal but hip decor. Each room features a little built in table perfect for getting some work done or late night drinking games, you choose! The beds are outfitted with Brooklinen, a trendy bedding company. The rooms feature Persian rugs, Marshall bluetooth speakers, robes, and a fridge– to keep your late night pizza fresh for breakfast 😉

If you want to go out to grab a bite, the hotel offers a range of restaurants and bars on the property. Starting with Arizona famed Cartel Coffee, which offers coffees, teas and pastries 6am- 6pm. If you’re looking for something a bit more filling, Top Austin Restaurant winner Vixens Wedding dishes up Goa, Indian, and Portuguese inspired dishes and right now only offers dinner service. Lefty’s Brick Bar offers a delicious bar menu featuring Cajun and Vietnamese fusion dishes, think beignets and crawfish egg rolls. They also have a full bar and are pet friendly! The last spot to mention is for all you Gin drinkers, and Gin Bar ATX is the name and it sits on the second floor of ARRIVE East Austin hotel. If you’re not a Gin drinker, beware. They offer a very limited array of alternative liquors but if Gin is your game, then go crazy with over 90 gins to choose from. I’m a tequila girl, so I learned there are some agave based gin’s, but for the most part, be prepared for gin gin gin gin!

Lastly, if you’re looking to go off property you’re quite literally in the heart of the East Side. ARRIVE is located right across the street from Whislers (which is my favorite bar), and Whislers also has a famous mezcal room which you should definitely check out. Other top spots are next door you’ll find Tamale House East, perfect for any meal bc tacos and tamales, but definitely give them a visit for breakfast tacos. There’s a VIA 313 across the street too which has some of the city’s best pizza. And if that doesn’t do it for you, just point yourself in any direction because you really can’t go wrong. Whether you’re on foot, bike, scooter, or have your vehicle, ARRIVE East Austin is literally the perfect location for any East Austin adventure!
