Sala & Betty -wholesome quality meals and a drive thru!
There is a certain kind of homeyness when you enter Sala & Betty. You’re greeted with this beautiful wooden patio right off of Airport Boulevard at the restaurants home in Austin. And that’s exactly what Austin Chef and Restauranteur Teresa Wilson wanted you to feel when you entered her establishment.
She dreamed of preparing wholesome quality meals in a come and go enviornment for everyone to be able to enjoy a good meal at their own pace. The features local and seasonal food prepared from scratch.
Sala & Betty is named after Teresa and her sister Toni’s nicknames for themselves. The restaurant itself offers a drive-thru, where patrons can get a slightly variated menu. Offering sandwiches with smoked wagyu sirloin, to ala carte meat by the pound like pork shoulder or smoked chicken. (You can also get wine and beer from the drive through!)
If sitting down and staying a while is more your thing, you have to try the Pan-Seared Sirloin and finish it off with a Chocolate Souffle.
Whether you’re in the neighborhood or just driving through, make sure you stop by next time you’re looking for a new Austin favorite to call home.
If you go, please tell them Dine With Shayda sent you! And let me know what your favorite thing to eat was @dinewithshayda. I can’t wait to go back and get some of their sugar cookies, they’re the best in town!
