Rodeo Goat -fresh ground beef burgers and tons of beer.
Rodeo Goat – a Burger Bar from Fort Worth opened their second location in Downtown Dallas.
I researched a few local top 10 lists, Yelp, Trip Advisor, and Thrillest and all of them pointed me to the Rodeo Goat. With burgers called Sugar Darling, The Telluride and Terlingua, I felt I couldn’t go wrong. The ingredients piled onto the burgers sounded heavenly, so we headed across town to make it for their 4-7pm (M-F) happy hour and have ourselves a burger binge.
We ended up ordering an order of their hand punched fries, and the Terlingua, a burger compiled of Fresh Ground Beef topped with havarti cheese, brisket chili, onions, corn chips, and garlic-herb mayo. Billy ordered the Chacha Oaxaca which was a beef and chorizo patty with avocado, pico de gallo, fried egg, queso fresco, and tabasco mayo.
And heaven it was! I like to consider myself a hamburger connoisseur attempting to eat as many burgers from as many establishments over the world in my quest to find the best and most deserving of a second round. It was definitely a more substantial burger, not your every day run of the mill burger craving fix. And their fries were really tasty, I finished every last piece they were that good. To me a burger can not stand on its own, it gets looked at in addition to the fries because it is a meal, they go together. And this was the perfect pairing to the burgers. The atmosphere is casual and vibrant and it’s a seat yourself kind of place.
Come here on your next drive through Dallas whether you’re a local or you’re just visiting. You won’t be disappointed. When you visit, tell them Dine With Shayda sent you and share you favorite food @dinewithshayda
