Pinthouse Pizza – Austin, Texas

Pinthouse Pizza and brewpub is quickly becoming an Austin favorite and has some of the best pizza in Austin! Located off of Burnet Road at 4729 Burnet Rd., Austin, TX this Austin beer and pizza joint is drawing up crowds with their pints and pies.

When you walk in you can tell the inspiration was to make a place people felt comfortable in, where they would hangout, drink a beer or two and laugh with their friends. The environment is loud but it’s alright because you’re surrounded by friends.

And Pinthouse Pizza was founded by friends, five to be exact, who shared a love for craft beer and good pizza. They opened up shop in 2011 and they’ve been drawing a crowd ever since.

At Pinthouse Pizza beer is just as important as the pizza, they offer a whole separate bar area for you to order after (or before) you place your order for pizza. It’s nice they do it that way, so when you want to order another drink you don’t have to wait in the pizza ordering line.

Pinthouse Pizza offers housemade beer on tap offering mainstays, seasonals, explorations, pilot ships, barrel aged series, firken taps and the evolving allen cask ipa! Their beers are influenced by the English brewing traditions of complexity and drinkability yet still strive to represent American Craft.

A full list of their current beer on tap is here.

Their menu offers all things pizza, whether it is a classic pie, specialty pie or build your own, I don’t think it is possible to be disappointed with the pie. They offer three sizes of pie, small medium and large. We ordered a medium and a small pie between 3 people and had a few slices leftover.

The pies that caught our eyes were The Works which was sauce, cheese, garlic, canadian bacon, crumbled sausage, red onions, green peppers, mushrooms and pepperoni.

Other pies that look good are The Armadillo, and The Cannonball. You can’t go wrong with any pie you order at this place!

The other pizza we ordered was made with sauce, cheese, ricotta, spinach, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, garlic, kalamata olives, poblano peppers and cherry tomatoes.

The flavors were insanely fresh and the crust is this thick doughy and perfectly salty bread. The combination is out of this world.
