Maison Cuit -a picturesque tea cottage with French pastries.
I am one with desserts and lately I’ve been one with French food, so it seemed like a match made in Heaven when I caught wind of Maison Cuit.
Located in Round Rock off of Historic Chisholm Trail (give the “Round Rock” a visit while you are there!) This Patisserie and Tea Cottage is situated in what looks and feels like an enchanted garden, full of benches, a pergola, and blooming flowers. It’s the perfect place to spend an afternoon with your dearest friends, or go alone and bask in the warm Texas sun with a good book and a croissant.
That is exactly what Head Chef and Owner Adrianna King wanted when she created and opened this place just 3 weeks ago. Originally from Austin, she now resides in Round Rock, and felt that her idea for a Tea Cottage would go perfectly in this Austin suburb. And let me tell you, she delivers above and beyond.
With a lot of will-power and passion, Adrianna has created a Patisserie shop full of goodies all made from scratch by her. Cakes and cupcakes, mini cheesecakes and macaroons. They’re all delicious and tend to sell out fast, as she’s created an early following already, so I suggest going in as early as you can!
She also specializes in Tea Service, and it’s as magical as you’re thinking it is! You must reserve it 24 hours in advance, but it is absolutely worth it. With it she let’s you select from a few choices depending on what you’re fancy is. But we went with the Afternoon Tea and it came with a pot of tea, a 3 tiered tray full of tea sandwiches and treats and was picture perfect. Also worth mentioning, they offer over 15 types of tea ranging from Madagascar Vanilla to Creme Brûlée. So whether you want English Tea, or Lavender, you can rock out your tea time!
I especially loved the cute accents spread throughout the experience. You’re sitting at these adorable patio tables, in a secret garden, she serves tea out of vintage tea pots, and bakes mini cheesecakes topped with delicate pieces of lavender. It was the perfect way to spend a Saturday morning and I can’t wait to go back with a group of girlfriends for our next monthly brunch date.
So scoot on over there for Tea time, or really any time will do. Adrianna and her team will save a seat for you, and be sure to tell them Dine With Shayda sent you!
Enjoy tea time!
