Kerbey Lane Cafe is an Austin icon, serving up comfort food 24/7 in convenient locations all around town. You can’t come to Austin and not dine at Kerbey Lane, it is that good and that much of a local staple.
This 30+ year old restaurant prides itself as being an active part of the Austin community and has a proud history of supporting local farmers, ranches and sourcing other local ingredients when possible.
As of today at 6am (and going until early 2016), Kerbey Lane will be serving their new fall menu which features seasonal favorites like Pumpkin Pancakes and Pumpkin French Toast (happy fall y’all!) while also delighting diners with some soon to be new favorites.
We tried the Texas Benedict, made with jalapeño corn cakes, steak, and topped with Kerbey queso, and another favorite of ours was the Harvest Grilled Cheese made with a pumpkin pesto and served with a tomato fennel soup.
Other new menu items include Bacon Pesto Chicken, Steak Arepas and a delicious sounding Pumpkin Bread and Granola Parfait.
I do have to say the pumpkin pancakes are such a treat and a much anticipated pancake flavor from Kerbey Lane, that it is one of my favorite fall rituals to partake in. They’ve become so famous for their pancakes they sell their pancake mix in groceries across america. Another great thing about Kerbey is that they also offer their pancakes as gluten free and vegan among other GF and V menu items.
