Home: Downstairs Tour

Welcome to my downstairs. This is the first post in my “home” series, but my intent is to highlight my design choices room by room and tag some great products to put on your radar too 🙂

This is my front entry, it’s long and has a shotgun approach so I was on the hunt for the perfect runner. Luckily I got turned onto Target for rugs, and ended up picking out this bad boy while it was on sale, but even at full price, it’s worth it. The rug is very durable, and they have a few color options!

Also scored this entry way table from Target. Linked here. I was going for something neutral but also light and airy in design. I loved the open shelf, and the perfect spot to put some plants and photos on display.

Once you enter the hallway you have a direct view of the dining room and the kitchen. The dining room is decorated with a rug and chairs from Living Spaces. Table from Home Consignment Shop, and the lighting is custom installed from my builder. I can’t find the exact blue rug, but here is a selection of other blue rugs from Living Spaces. The exact chairs I have are here.

My living room is a combination of Macy’s and Home Consignment Store, and Living Spaces. The rug is from Costco and is so comfortable, if you’re looking for a shag rug, they have a few options sizing and colors.

If you’ve never been to Home Consignment I suggest you check it out, they have a bunch of rotating furniture ranging from new, designer, and vintage. It’s one of my go to spots for furniture shopping in Austin. Scored my dining room table and this massive square coffee table from there.

I think what makes a home are the personal details that you incorporate into the furniture decor. So my home consists of photos and framed prints, candles, and lots of greenery. I love shopping TJMaxx and HomeGoods for frames and nick nacks. I also shop Michaels for frames and 90% of the time they have something on sale or a Michaels coupon you can use. Much better quality print frames that are on the market compared to IKEA ones, for example.

I get most of my candles from Bath and Body works, they make my favorite! Prints are from Society6, and planters are from Amazon.

My favorite candle.

Some cool prints: The words you speak become the house you live in.

Just highlighting my open kitchen floorpan, most everything was selected by the builder. But I just got these blue counter stools from Wayfair to accent the blue rug in my dining. They come in a few different colors and 2 to an order!

Thanks for the quick highlight of my Downstairs. More to come as I find new items to tag and share with you for home decoration!
