Austin is getting its first food hall and it officially opens Thursday, January 18th!
Fareground will feature six permanent restaurants which will each offer a variation of breakfast, lunch, and dinner from 7am-10pm. There will be two full open bars, with wine, beer and cocktails on draft. There’s a picnic space outside under big beautiful trees. And plenty of inside seating to grab a quick bite, or to sit and stay a while.
The restaurants will be a cheese and charcuterie shop run by Austin favorite Antonelli’s. From the Emmer and Rye team comes a new concept called Henbit, which will feature fresh, delicious ingredients prepared in simple elegant ways. Contigo is dishing up their wings, rotisserie chicken, and burgers. Ni Kome, is a mashup of Kome and Daruma Ramen, serving sushi, nigiri and ramen bowls. Dai Due is debuting a new concept, a taqueria, which will feature breakfast tacos, and then lunch/dinner tacos alongside aqua frescas and housemade churros. And last but not least, Easy Tiger will have an outpost serving their delicious baked goods like fresh rolls and loafs.
My favorite thing about Fareground is the community aspect, I love that you can pick up cheeses from Antonelli’s, and a loaf of bread from Easy Tiger. Or what about a roll from Ni Kome and a few tacos from Dai Due Taqueria? It’s family friendly, group friendly, and just overall a badass place to grab a bite to eat, a cold beverage and enjoy your day.
Like my mind is blown at how awesome this is for Austin!
