Give me a great patio and a large margarita and I’ll be in the best mood.
Luckily Domain Northside has a new Tex-Mex restaurant that is perfect for just that.
Cyclone Anaya’s Tex-Mex Cantina is open and is dishing up jumbo margaritas, freshly prepared ceviche, and tacos al carbon. Which happen to be some of my favorite things. I was invited to meet head chef Jason Gould, and explore the menu for a night. I expected to enjoy it but I left loving it.
It has a huge indoor outdoor space, which makes kicking back for happy hour or brunch a no brainer at this establishment. And much to my delight, they also have a very extensive tequila menu.
Chef Gould brought out popular dishes, ceviche, guacamole, nachos, and queso. All the traditionally expected items, and they were all as comforting as one would want. There wasn’t one thing on the menu we had that I wouldn’t order again. And it definitely helped that the margaritas were not only jumbo, but strong!
What I like most about Cyclone Anaya’s is it’s casual laid back environment. The servers are friendly, they take care of you, and make sure you have what you need. With a margarita in one hand and a taco in the other, life is about as perfect as it can be. If you need a patio spot, make sure to add this one to your list!
PS: I hear they have bottomless mimosas for brunch!
