Contigo -seasonal fresh farm to table inspired dishes.

Contigo has been on my radar for a while now, and we finally got a seat to dine there ourselves (After a 1.5 hour wait). From opening up shop in Austin in 2011, the Texas Farm to Table restaurant has been wowing Austinites ever since.

Since it had been on my list and we were looking to celebrate we decided to take the plunge into waiting the dreaded hour + wait for a table. I should clarify we went on a Saturday night around 7p, so we couldn’t have picked a more crowded time to go. The weather was nice, the patio was calling, and we decided we wanted Contigo, and so Contigo we had.

The patio is absolutely perfect. It’s easily understandable why people come in from all over to dine on it. Their restaurant is all outdoors which means it is friendly to pets and also the weather. Luckily it was on our side that night and we had a beautiful sunset as we watched the patio come alive with laughter as the night went on.

They are perfect for families, groups of friends, celebrations, oh the list could go on. We of course came here on date night and ended up at a communal table with a sweet family at the other end of it. It was perfect and everything that it was built up to be, and the food hadn’t even hit the tables yet!

Their menu focuses on seasonal fresh farm to table inspired dishes with a southern flare. They offer bar food, charcuterie, small plates, plates and desserts. We opted to start with the crispy green beans with sambol aioli. They were finger licking good, crisped to perfection and the aioli was divine.

The main course was easy, we had our hearts set on the burger as that had been ranked as one of the best burgers in Austin.  I am kind of on a life burger quest, and this one was one of my most favorite burgers ever!!! I want to stress that so much, it was a seriously d*** good burger!  It had a nice housemade challah bun with a well seasoned and cooked to perfection patty, and the fries were the perfect pairing to this dish. I will most definitely be back at Contigo Austin Texas for this burger.

And as if our meal couldn’t get more heavenly, we ordered a deconstructed pie in a jar with pecans, bourbon infused whipped cream, and only god knows what else is in there. But I can tell you we ate the whole thing.

So good, I swear by Contigo!  When you go, tell them Dine With Shayda sent you.
