Chez Zee -delicious brunch, baked goods, and desserts.

If you have spent any time in Austin you have probably come across Chez Zee, an American Bistro tucked away off 2222 in Northwest Austin off Balcones Drive.
Chez Zee

Chez Zee is known for its delicious baked goods, desserts, and amazing brunch offerings– which is precisely why we headed to this tasty establishment.

We have a thing for Brunch and knew we had to hit up this wonderful Austin gem.

Opened in 1989 by Sharon Watkins a former Austin Ad agency owner, the restaurant is a reflection of all things eclectic and most importantly Austin.

The interior shows off local Austin artists, and is adorned with christmas lights year round. Step out on the patio to relax and play a board game, or watch the cars pass by on Balcones.

We’re fortunate because in Austin the weather is generally in our favor, so we decided we would like to sit on the patio and enjoy our brunch.

One of my favorite things about Chez Zee are the fresh croissants they bring to your table. As if tempting you with their tasty pastries wasn’t enough, they pair the croissants with strawberry butter. And if I didn’t have you hooked yet, you will be. Mouthwatering!

From here it just gets better, in fact if I could live at Chez Zee I don’t think I would mind one bit.

We ordered the Honey Kissed Ham Omelette made with griddled honey-glazed ham, melted Swiss cheese, diced tomatoes and green onions.

This is one of my favorite omelettes.  I do have a sweet tooth, so I enjoyed the honey kissed ham that just oozed with maple syrup flavor. Pair that with the house cut potatoes and homemade ketchup, you just can’t go wrong. Plus it is big enough to share!

And share we did, because that way we get to try multiple things, and I get to share them in their glory with you!

We HAD to get the Crème Brûlée French Toast made with the award winning recipe of Challah bread and creme brulee mixture, soaked overnight, baked and toasted to order. It was even better than it sounds and than it looks, it was heaven in my mouth.

I loved our brunch experience at Chez Zee, this will definitely be a place I take friends and family from out of town, or the next time we’re hankering for brunch!
