Austin favorite Chi’lantro Opens up on East Riverside

Who: Chi’lantro

What: Korean BBQ

When: Everyday 10:30am – 10:00pm

Where: 1414 Shore District Drive, Austin, Texas

Why: Chi’lantro is no stranger to the Austin food scene. Originally opened as a food truck in 2010 by owner Jae Kim, it wasn’t long for his kimchi fries to take over Austinites hearts. Now Chi’lantro has 3 brick and mortars, with their recent opening in the South Shore district marking the largest location for this growing empire.

Kim recently appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank and struck a deal with Shark Barbara Corcoran which will allow him and his team to expand into other Texas markets.

At the South Shore location, you can build your own burrito, taco, bowl, noodle bowl, salad or kimchi fries. With toppings like soy glazed chicken, beef ribeye, marinated tofu, there is an option for everyone, and you can truly craft your perfect meal. My go to is the spicy pork atop the kimchi fries, drizzled with their famous kimchi sauce and magic sauce. The perfect combination of flavor and spice!

They are open and ready for business and would love to help craft your perfect Chi’lantro meal, so please make sure to swing by if you’re in the neighborhood!
